Most manual workers I know aren’t the boniest of guys either, but they aren’t fatasses. They’re in shape.

Hilarious OP, I had this same thought earlier this week. One of my drivers showed up in shorts and t shirts this week, and my reaction was "this motherfricker right here."

It takes me 30 seconds to walk from my well heated truck to inside my office building. I don't feel the need for a jacket for that walk, but of course there is always some older lady eager to make a comment when i've entered the building.

I find it more obnoxious when it's in the 50's-60's and people walk around with knee length parkas. It's not that cold.

I don’t go to the parka extreme, I don’t even own a heavy jacket, but you’re right...it’s Louisiana. And if it’s in the 50s, I’m DEFINITELY cold I hate cold weather.

I've got no problem with a vest, but I do find the pro-rata arguments to be comical at times.

came to work in a short sleeve shirt today. It’s only 40 degrees in Houma though.

So you keep your house AC on 40?

If not mentioned, I'm assuming it's true that different people adjust to their environments. When I visited Norway a few years ago on a work trip and the temps were in the low 50's, I had a light long sleeve shirt with no coat but the Malaysians couldn't stop shivering (while wearing multiple layers including a coat). Apparently their temps never get below about 80 so it was a big adjustment.

When the Canadians visit our office in Houston, they are usually wearing short sleeves even when the temps get down to the 40s or so.

Anything below 65, a person should have a light jacket.....life isn't about anything except being prepared.
Bull shite on the guys and girls who act like they are too cool to be warm....it shows lack of wanting to prepare. I don't want to work, hunt, or play with an adult who isn't prepared for adversity..
My largest constant arguments is with my 12 yr old daughter who tries to be "stylish" and not wear a coat/jacket when its freezing...

Live by this and things will be ok..

I have a co-worker who always shows up to work this time of year in a short sleeved shirt with no jacket. He says it feels good outside and he isn't cold. Mother fricker, it's 28 degrees outside. I know you're cold.

I do this all the time. I can handle walking from my house to the car in the garage and from my car into the office without a jacket in 28deg weather because I am not a giant vagina.

EXACTLY

I love when I run into a store without a jacket and it's 40 degrees out and get bombarded with "OMGZ WHEREZ UR JACKET???"...I'm like it's not a blizzard outside and I'm not hiking up a mountain side I'm just running in here to grab some milk

Yep, anyone who doens't mind the cold is a fatass, and anyone gets cold is a skinny cuck. Great assumptions. Dumbass.
