Whats up with creepy clowns supposedly stalking people? Are they hoaxes? Made up? Faked? Why is it a national phenomenon right now? Is this a reference to something in popular culture I'm not aware of?

This whole clown thing sucks because I usually go dressed as a clown for Halloween. The last thing I want to do is be out walking around taking my kids trick-or-treating and then get jumped or shot because people think I am some evil doer. I hate people sometimes

Everything repeats itself. Right now it's apparently the fricking late 80's. Had Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Had Stephen King's it. Err body hated clowns. Late 80's back; err body hate clowns again. I swear my neighbors kids look straight 80's.

The real phenomenon is how many people act like they're afraid of clowns these days because it has become a "thing." Like people who act like they are disgusted by the word moist.
