What's the best way to clean up vomit that's all over a hardwood floor?

Came down with food poisoning last night and spent a miserable night dealing with it. I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy.

After recreating the toilet scene from Dumb & Dumber by shooting 100% pure liquid out of my arse at firehose like intensity for about 8 minutes straight, I thought it was done with. However I got up from the toilet and went back to my bed, and begin to feel extremely light headed and dizzy, and began to cold sweat bullets like I was in some kind of arctic sauna. I then passed out on my bed. I regained conciousness and as I tried to get my bearings back I all of a sudden began puking all over the floor. I could not get to the bathroom because it felt like someone was taking my stomach and intestines and twisting them into knots which was extremely painful.

The puking went on for what seemed like an eternity. Even when I was done actually throwing up substance, there was a wave of dry heaves that were even worse than actually puking something because it felt like someone was pinching my trachea shut like that vacuum cleaner on Sandlot.

When it was all over I was feeling extremely miserable and just Big Daddy'd it by putting a couple beach towels over ground zero and said I would deal with it when I wasn't feeling like total shite.

I'm feeling a bit better this morning(although I still got some bubbling in my stomach so I don't think I am out of the woods yet) although the thought of any kind of food repulses me right now. Who knows when I will regain my appetite.

With that being said what's the best way to get this puke off my hardwood floor in my bedroom. I don't have a mop, but I do have a Swiffer Wet Jet. Think its best to go buy a cheap mop when my fever subsides?

No blood from what I saw. The vomit was definitely a more clear color. I haven't thrown up since I was 12 years old, its been almost 20 years. Forgot what it was like.

Looks like buying that seafood from the Filipino Seafood Market was a bad idea as I am guessing that is the culprit.

I had this from bad turkey a few months ago, I was sitting on the pot and throwing up in the tub next to it.

Swiffer Wet Jet

This should handle the cleanup just fine. I’d follow up with a dosing of Lysol.

That's a roundabout way to brag about having hardwood floors in the bedroom
