Here's a novel idea: Proper hydration overall.

Prevention through nutrition.

And, No, beer does NOT hydrate a person, just the opposite.

You should ask a Texas A&M fan this question. They are all experts at wetting lips with white lotion like substances

I've been having crazy problems with that too, Aquaphor stick almost 24/7 works okay.

Looks like the consensus is Aquaphor. I’ll go pick some up.

I alternate between aquaphor, Neutrogena in the tube that looks like chapstick, and Vaseline at night. I can't tolerate chapped lips or dry skin at all.

I was telling my wife last night that chapstick is a slippery slope. My wife and daughters are constantly using chapstick, and their lips are constantly chap. I never use the stuff and my lips only get chapped if I'm fishing all day in a cold wind, and it's never bad. Meanwhile, those three can sit inside all day and have chap, cracked lips.

Maybe we can get their teeth shortened.

Lol. I got a small piece of red pepper in a chapped lip once and thought I was going to die. Lesson learned.

as mentioned earlier Carmex is awful stuff. I believe it to be true that it actually makes your lips drier.

Are you telling me that Stalekracker is not actually hydrating while he is patiently waiting?
