I have blue heeler and she can run all day. She's about 45 lbs, but she sheds a ton.

If you run everyday, I'd get a german shorthaired pointer. If you don't have time to exercise it regularly, it could get a bit hyper

If serious go to the OB and search German Shorthaired Pointers. I have pics there also.

German Shepherd, can run for days and if you work with them they can do almost anything you want them to as well as being loyal and all around amazing.
My boy at five weeks. He is 5 now I think and a lot bigger.
ETA: Just realized post said a little smaller than a lab, don't get the german shepherd, they grow large.

I run with a shorthair and a Brittany.......I have never once worn them out. We only run about 4 miles at a time but when we are finished they bolt straight to the back yard to chase squirrels.

Best dogs, ever, ever - if it weren't for all that gosh darn fur.
(I still miss my boy, Max.

I was going to be looking for a GSP in like 2-3 months. Dang. Bad timing.
Good looking dogs.

I know, it can be a handful but they really prefer to be outside (can probably be said for most dogs) unless you are home sitting inside. So leaving him in the backyard while I am at work helps to keep the extra fur on the outside.
