I do it quite often.

There is something really great about a road beer after work. I’m not trying to get drunk. I just want an ice cold beer is all. I actually truly like the taste of beer.

A road 2x4 is one of life's little pleasures

I like to always be aware of what's going on around me. That's hard to do when you are stumbling around and can barely talk.

I don't drink anymore. Why do I need a substance in my body to feel good or have fun? It turns my emotions into a roller coaster. It makes me lazy and hungry real quick. It makes my skin become inflammatory. It increases estrogen and lowers testosterone. I've never felt negatively judged and I've never been excluded from anything for not drinking.

Because not killing all your brain cells before you hit 30 is actually very beneficial.

I enjoy drinking but hate getting drunk. When I was younger it was fun I guess, but the older I got the less I enjoyed it.

I'd rather just sit back and enjoy a beer while watching football or have a glass of whiskey.

Honestly, these days I am more inclined to ask what's the point of getting drunk. But to each his own.

If you've had a long day and have a headache and/or stressed out, its nice to have a glass of wine or a stiff drink to take the edge off.

Number two on the "10 signs you could be an alcoholic."

2. Drinking to Relax or Feel Better – Almost all people struggling with addiction abuse their substance of choice for emotional reasons. Whether it’s stress, depression, anxiety or anything else, using alcohol as a method of easing negative feelings is a risky habit—the “relief” it provides is only temporary and it ordinarily makes things worse in the long run. If you drink more when you’ve had a stressful day or need a drink to feel like you can really relax, it’s a big sign that you’re using alcohol as an emotional crutch."

OP obviously doesn’t enjoy the taste of a good beer or wine. He just drinks to get wasted. What a loser.

I basically only drink if I’m eating crawfish, or watching an LSU game. Getting drunk just doesn’t have the appeal it used to. I’m not anti drinking, but partying isn’t a desire. After we beat bama on Saturday..... different story.

What if you’re in a good mood just sitting on the back porch?

Then according to the puritans on here, you have no self control and you’re going to hell.

That "sign" applies to everyone who drinks. It's designed to make it seem like all drinking is a problem.

Well they also believed in not working on the Holy Sabath, and like a million other rules. I'm sure nobody is a saint.
