The standard top shelf vodkas. Tito's and Greg Goose are favprites, but there is no way I am touching that lighter fluid known as Taaka.

In every blind taste test I found with a Google search the drinkers could not tell the difference between Tito's, Grey Goose, and assorted cheap vodkas, and they almost universally picked Grey Goose as the cheap vodka.

It’s basically corn syrup? It’s gross.

Good vodka has the least taste.
It mixes with anything

Last trip to Mexico, I got into some damn good tequila...so good after I boat trip across the lake to the hotel I could not stand up. Fell on my arse twice...they called the front desk and they sent a wheel chair. Wheel Chair Drunk.
Nice. This is why tequila is better than vodka.

Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk, ice cream? Ice cream, Mandrake? Children's ice cream!...You know when fluoridation began?...1946. 1946, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual, and certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works. I first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love...Yes, a profound sense of fatigue, a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I-I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence. I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women, er, women sense my power, and they seek the life essence. I do not avoid women, Mandrake...but I do deny them my essence.

Clear alcohols are for rich women on diets.

Mixes great and moderate amounts aren't so obvious on your breath.

It's always been my nemesis and best friend. I enjoy the taste because I know what it's about to do to my body. I fricking love it

It does have a strong rubbing alcohol taste to it.
Belvedere has almost no alcohol taste to it.

I can believe this but I feel fairly safe in sayung that I can tell the difference between Greg goose, taaka, and the plastic bottle crap.

I wouldn't trust anyone who didn't eat ketchup. Most un-American thing I can think of.

I don't give a shite how many dipshit blind taste tests you link to, you can ABSOLUTELY taste a difference between something like Mr. Boston or Burnett's and Ketel One or Grey Goose.
Now the mid-range vodkas compared to the "high-end" ones? Yeah, there probably isn't much of a difference and you're paying for the brand.
But get out of here acting like they are ALL the same. The cheapest ones are essentially lighter fluid and are gross as frick.
To the original question, people drink it because it mixes with everything (or it's easy to drink straight if you're an alcoholic), and it's cheap. That's it.

Perhaps you can say this for taste, but certainly not for hangovers. Drink a fifth of Taaka and compare that to the hangover you get from Tito's. Miles and miles of difference between the two. Cheaper vodkas are distilled less than the more expensive ones.
Skyy, Titos, and Grey Goose are the shite.

A good bottle of vodka is only $25-30.
For shooting, it’s almost tasteless. Same reason it mixes with everything.
