Who the hell do you use then? FedEx and the USPS are on an entirely different level of incompetence. Hell, in alabama, a FedEx driver was just throwing shite off a ravine instead of delivering it.

I had a FedEx driver steal a tool cabinet I bought from Sam's Club. I even had the address it was delivered to which was 25+ miles from mine. FedEx still said it was delivered. Luckily Sam's Club refunded my money.

I’m seeing same thing. However, big difference on Ground services across providers. FedEx Ground is usually sub-contracted out to local providers and the service can be quite bad. I don’t think UPS Ground is sub-contracted out.

I would contact UPS, this sounds like a lost package.

I have two packages that have been sitting at same Illinois facility since February 17 also.

Must be something going on at this center, weather or otherwise.

I think it all depends on where you are. Where I live, in Southwestern Sip, I would rank them in this order best to worst.

1. UPS (hands down the best)
2. USPS (except for lately)
3. FedEx (at least one package a day left at the wrong house in my community)

4. Amazon (you never know who or what might be delivering and all times night and day)

UPS and USPS have been okay locally. On the other hand, FedEx is absolutely the worst, holding packages in BR and repeatedly delivering to the wrong address in our neighborhood.

My experience with packages I have ordered has been in this, best to worst.

USPS
UPS
FedEx

.
.
.
DHL

Correct. All of UPS is delivered by UPS. I run a small rural Post Office in middle TN. Several of my customers have said their FedEx ground packages were delivered to houses on same street 1/4 mile away. One guy said FedEx ground left his package out at the light pole by his ditch near the highway.
We had great news this week as our Postmaster General announced he will be stepping down. It will take awhile but I’m hopeful we can restore our level of service that we had before he tried to run us into the ground.

UPS has been a disaster for a decade now. I do not use them unless I have to.

I ship a lot to/from by business. As spotty as USPS can be, I have a lot less major problems with them than UPS or FED EX (at much lower cost as well).

UPS nobody is willing to take responsibility.

That's a huge problem with them and FED EX. USPS takes forever to talk to someone but it can actually work that their system finds misguided systems. UPS / FED EX not much chance.

In very urban areas, UPS delivery people are infamous for leaving packages basically anywhere to get rid of them -- like right out on the busy sidewalk in front of a building -- and marking it "delivered to individual".

No way to claim insurance. No way to do anything except eat the loss.

Leaving directions on their websites to "pickup at UPS store / Fed Ex pick up point" means that actually happens about 1/4 of the time.

UPS just sent my package back to shipper because of "damage".

UPS and FedEx are the two worst delivery companies.

USPS is great in midcity Baton Rouge. Never had an issue with them.

Everything is anecdotal about both of our experiences, but USPS just "lost" a package from Taos NM for me. Had to file a claim. A month ago, I had a package sent from Maurepas to Baton Rouge. About 30 to 40 miles. It went to French Settlement, then Bismarck, then Fargo, then showed up over 10 days later in Baton Rouge.

Lately, (the past couple of years) things posted with USPS have traveled across the country in a day or two, only to languish in Baton Rouge sorting facilities for upwards of 6 days.

Fed Ex on the other hand got a package from New Jersey to me in two days.

Nothing.

Sometimes delays happen.

It’s like flying and your luggage doesn’t make it to that stop. It happens. Doesn’t mean something is wrong with the airline, it just happens

I order some stuff from a vendor out of Chicago. Got the shipping confirmation, then a few hours later, another email from UPS stating my shipment would be delayed due to "mechanical issues". Never seen that excuse before.

On another note, FedEx delivered last week and the delivery driver made a point to let me know that they were from South Texas. He said they now have the contract due to the previous contractor doing a bad job. I'm in the Montgomery metro, so that makes a LOT of sense.

My brother had a FED EX franchise for some years when he was younger. They tend to have a lot of turnover of routes due their business model squeezing the frick out of their franchisees.

FED EX is another good example of why so many decent jobs are disappearing. CEO business geniuses replace 10 decent jobs with 3 decent jobs+ rag tag minimum wage part-time + illegals washing the trucks etc etc with all the extra profit going to far-flung investors instead of staying in the local communities.

Nobody knows where it is or why it didn't arrive, and nobody is willing to take responsibility. I do not do business with UPS. They long ago exhausted any goodwill they had with me

Years ago when I was a driver helper during peak season, a lot of the drivers would just mark your address undeliverable.

For reasons as mean dog, dangerous drive way, dangerous street, etc.

In actuality they just didn’t like backing up in the drive way because it was extra work for a particular house.

My question is about their tracker. Seems like more than half the time it simply doesn't recognize the tracking number.

I just sent a 2 day air on 11th. Delivered yesterday the 20th. Completely unacceptable. It got reshuffled locally more times than I can count.

Looks as if their tracking system is having problems. As of this morning their tracker indicated my package had been stuck in IL for the last couple of days. It was delivered before noon today.

Same.

They're all shite, but at least the abuse at USPS costs less.
