Maybe another protest.
Da peoples want to have a community policing group with subpoena power over the police department. They were marching about it a few weeks ago.

Fun Fact: Port Allen is named for Governor Henry Watkins Allen, the last governor of the state during the Confederacy.
As of the census of 2000, there were 5,278 people, 2,012 households, and 1,416 families residing in the city.
The racial makeup of the city was 45.04% White, 53.98% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.04% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.27% from other races, and 0.51% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.00% of the population.
Isn't it obvious? The Pacific Islander in the town is starting trouble again......
(5278 x .02% = 1.05 people)

Fun Fact: there is a Port Allen on Kauai with tons of cane fields. It has a far higher percentage of Pacific Islanders though. It was named after Samuel Clesson Allen a businessman originally from MA.
