Yeah, that might be it. Except we saw a cop taking a picture of something on the road when we drove by just now. But I could see that segment being a popular segment for them to race since it’s a straightaway with no other driveways or interruptions until you get past I-12 (aside from the interstate access ramps lol). So they might be shutting it down as a preventative measure
True story. They started flying the helicopter from the HQ on Airline recently when we heard the drag racers start. It flew straight down Airline & the drag racing stopped immediately. Maybe they scoped out the strips and are blocking them off.

It’s shut down in front of the Holiday Inn. Oyo is on the other side of I-12 and is not on Airline.

I drove down Airline a few months ago trying to avoid the interstate shitshow. That is one bleak postindustrial hellscape.
