How are citizens okay with not getting any closure on the worst mass shooting in US history?

Sheriff announced today that one of the SWAT officers accidentally (negligently) cranked off a round when they went into the hotel suite.
The tinfoil wearers will have a field day with that.

The lack of information and understanding associated with the worst mass shooting in the country coupled with the lack of rhetoric by the anti-gun lobby has to be concerning, right?

I know it’s halloween and all but let’s try to contain our excitement. This thread calls for level heads and sound judgment discussion.

Looking at it from the outside, it's like any other tragedy that happens. It gets news coverage for a week at the longest, everyone talks about it. Conspiracy theories pop up all over the place. Then just like that everything moves on.
The other night there was a special "after the shooting" episode of 20/20 or one of those shows. I DVR'd it and watched it Sunday night.
It was interesting. They talked to a few people who knew someone who was shot/shot and killed. One guy, his girlfriend was shot, but didn't die. It seemed as if it really messed him up mentally. He said he has not had a night of sleep without having dreams about it. A few nights since the shooting, he has found himself getting up out of bed at night and going in his closet as if he is trying to hide from something. And his girlfriend, who was shot, but not badly injured, isn't doing well.. And that she hasn't been able to see him in person yet, since the shootings.
There was a doctor whose husband was a nurse and was killed protecting her. She actually had him buried in their backyard. They have a house on some property by a river or somewhere and she said she buried him in the exact spot he would have wanted to be in.
They also addressed all the conspiracy theories and explained why a bunch of theories were not possible.

what in the frick are you blabbling about. more important is ISIS links, manila connections, who robbed his fricking house unattended, how'd the weapons get upstairs and all this other stuff. Not some dude hiding in a closet mother fricker.

Dude supposedly spent most of the past 5 years or so in casinos. Why has not single photo or piece of video footage been released of him from anywhere, including the Mandalay Bay leading up to this shooting?

Why are all of your posts like 5-6 paragraphs long? Ain’t nobody reading all of that.

I saw that the other day. That wasn't the same brother they interviewed right after it happened right? I just saw the guy lived in California and I remember the brother they interviewed right after was from Florida or somewhere on the east coast.

I think I read where his weird brother that they interviewed got popped for child porn. Being a POS must run in that family. Wasn't the dad a bank robber or something?
