My wife always reads the group texts anyway.

I guess I'm too open with my wife, but I show her funny messages from group texts that I'm in and she laughs as well.

This is my reaction as well. I couldn't imagine my friend group having a group chat like we are teenage girls.
The closest we get to anything like that is every now and then, a buddy will send a joke to a few friends. Or text a few other guys to see if they have anything going on next Saturday so we can play 18 holes or go fishing. But there definitely isn't a dedicated group chat.
