What would you have done in this situation?

Decided to go play some poker a fewer back at the casino. When the poker room manager was escorting me my seat, I notice a crisp 100.00 bill laying on the floor 5-6 feet away from my table.
I slowly walk over and stood on top of the 100.00 bill and looked around. I then notice the poker manager coming back toward me with my chips. After he delivers my chips I call him over and tell him I’m standing on 100.00 bill? Should I scoop and score or give it to him to see if anyone claims they lost it?
He says that’s your decision buddy. Within moments an older gentleman is scurrying around frantically and I ask him what he was doing? He said his son had lost a 100.00 bill and was in the restroom back tracking his steps to find it.
I looked at the old man and said Merry Christmas, as I stepped off the lost money. The poker manager looked at me says I guess you found your answer.
So OT guys up vote if you would do the right thing and give the money back to the rightful owner or Down vote if you would have said frick it finders keepers losers weepers.

quote:"fricked his old lady" is usually the correct answer, I've found.

It would have been a dick move to not give it him as he was looking for it, especially as you are about to sit down at a poker table. That shite comes back to you quick

Given it back. If nobody came looking for it, I would have kept it.

sounds like you and the old man and his "son" both play with scared money, get your arse back to the nickel slots, you poor

What if the old guy saw you step on it and made up the story on the fly to scam you out of it? Did you ever see this so-called "son" of his come back?

You did the right thing, unless the old man was tipped off by the poker manager.

Absolute right thing to do.
Several years ago I ran into a HEB in Cypress in gym shorts to grab a few items. I laid my wallet on the cart (one of the small carts with the little cup holder shelf deal) when I was walking to the truck.
I put the groceries in the truck and went home leaving the wallet behind. When I got home I realized my mistake and called the store. One of the cart kids brought the wallet in. There was about 6 or 700 dollars in the wallet. The kids didn’t even open the wallet.
I asked which kid it was and they described the hat he was wearing I went outside found him and confirmed he just turned the wallet in. He said it was him and I said thank you and handed him either $50 or $100. He was over the moon about it and I was very relieved to be going home with most of the money I thought I lost.
Karma comes around I guess is the moral of the story.

Definitely would have gone to the OT to brag about doing the right thing.

I would have went Joe Pesci on the poker room manager. Slapped him upside the head and told him, "give me a freakin' marker.....NOW!"
