He can make some wonderfully witty remarks but some of the things he says make me wonder what the hell is he thinking.
The other night I heard him say America turned its back on Detroit because it became too black. I don't know whether America turned its back on Detroit or not - if so, I would argue it did because the people of Detroit habitually elected leaders who horribly mismanaged the city.

America still likes New Orleans pretty well.

I'd rather just have the money for a house in the south of France, inside Avignon would be nice, and do what I wanted. I could find better things to do with my time than what he does, but I doubt I could make the same scratch.

Yea well, IDGAF.
Because I don't want to specifically do what he does makes me a douche? I mean I both eat and talk to people, but I don't want to be a writer or a chef.

This is one of my favorite Bourdain moments. Skip ahead to about 1:55 for his comments.

I don't recall what he was referring to, but he once mentioned something being "as prolific as chlamydia at Burning Man."

Why is Anthony Bourbon famous in the first place? I like him and watch his show, but no idea why he has it. He is the kardashian of the travel world.

He was a pretty popular writer/chef before No Reservations

I think Andrew Zimmern's job would be fun too. Travel the world and eat a bunch of shite.

He has quite possibly the coolest job in the world.

He did a lot of cocaine and wrote a book about being a junky in the food industry.
It won a Pulitzer.
There is a statue of him in Jersey.

Read Kitchen Confidential. If you've ever worked in a restaurant, you'll appreciate it.
