Well I gave the wallet to Kenny. Kenny is ex-military, kind of a Walton county cop of some sort and he works the gate at our property in Sandestin. Kenny said he'll handle it.

Very plausible. There is a Texas DL in it and the cards match the name on it
Turn it over to ice

Take it to the police station

Mail it back man. Good for the soul.

Two hundred dollars?
What are you gonna do with a hundred dollars?
Look 50 doesn't go far in this world
Maybe treat yourself to lunch with that twenty dollars.
Or leave the waitress a 10 dollar tip.
Change for a five?

Whole lot of theft being recommended in this thread

Maybe the wallet was stolen and the perp ditched it in your truck if he was about to encounter the owner or law enforcement. Turn it in to the police and maintain a positive karma rating.

There were 3 100s and another 100+ in smaller denominations. $400 is a pretty good chunk for some people. Especially itinerant Mexicans. But whatever. It's in Kenny's hands now. I told him I don't particularly care to hear the outcome.

Kenny changed it all into 1s and has strippers all over him right now.

I'd keep the cash and mail the rest of the wallet (with a phony return addy) to the address on the driving license.
Mail it today though before he goes to the trouble of replacing everything. If you wait until say Wednesday of next week he'll likely have replaced all the cards and maybe even the driving license.
If I had lost a wallet full of stuff I'd appreciate that and think it was fair (especially given how you found the wallet).

All Mexican looking wallets have Sombreros on top of them, full ammo belts over each shoulder that cross over the chest, a bandana and a wad of pesos stcking out of it. I thought everybody knew that...

Spend the money on some S&M (Senoritas & Margaritas)

That could also be almost any guy from rural Texas.

I would just give it back. You’ll feel better that you took the high road
