What will globalism look like once we beat this thing?

Mostly what I’m wondering is what will the world look like? Will we go back to normal like before the virus where people supported open borders and reliance on China and other counties for our manufacturing? Or will we move to stricter border control and repatriation of manufacturing, especially when it comes to critical materials and medicines, back to the US?
Personally I think we should do the latter but what we will end up doing Is the former.
Thoughts?

you have to define "globalism" first

We need to distance ourselves from China as much as economically possible

I wish but I don't think companies will leave China until we get automated labor. Slave labor will always be better than paying minimum wage from an economic standpoint.

Nothing will happen

The open border people are insane and no amount of reality will change their minds.

For a time, then people will forget why it is important and chase dollars again.

Take a lesson from the way governments and progressivism operate. If something isnt working, double down on it.
You'll see a push for international ruling bodies.

that is a basic tenet of identity politics, which is now the guiding principle of the democrat party

The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has announced the creation of a fund for addressing the global coronavirus pandemic – and he is simultaneously asking nations to contribute the equivalent of at least 10 percent of the annual income of the entire planet to a massive “human-centered, innovative and coordinated stimulus package” that would be administered at the international level.

Hopefully the leftists' and 'globalists', will see the light and we will become self-reliable again ! State and Federal governments need to become much more pro-active in retaining/growing U.S. manufacturing....stock-holders should concede that lower profits can actually have a long term benefit to themselves and their nation !

This will actually consolidate power at the top because of muh public safety. We're about to see a power grab in this country worse than the patriot act (that's not globalism but it will be similar to what global governments do as well)

Why do you think we will beat this thing? I don’t think we ever recover from this.

It's going to be a real fight. The politicians and corporate board members are all in on China. The media sees China as a big business opportunity, just like the NBA does. We need to boycott these entities and bring manufacturing back to the Americas. North America, Central America, and South America. We also need to clamp down on international travel. One must go through a rigorous routine to travel internationally. Use our continent as home base NUMBERO UNO.

People will do whatever government tells them is "safest".
Even if it's to their own detriment.

America would be much better served to revert back to manufacturing here, and placing tariffs on imports from countries that practice virtual slave labor to keep manufacturing costs at a ridiculous level, in order to create both a free and fair market where capitalism benefits society in quality rather than just cheap crap to flood the markets with, allowing more people to get into business and compete, and more jobs for people who need work and a future. Either that, or we revert back to slavery to compete, and that’s obviously out of the question.
I’d also say that same mentality serves local communities as well when you buy local. National out of state companies and bankers own our communities and the wealth of those communities. Just look at who owns all of the real estate in cities across this country, and you know who owns you. Taking that back and enjoying the wealth staying here and the taxes going up as a result of that money exchanging hands more to fund our local infrastructures is only a net positive for us, and a net negative for fat cats and bankers who suck off our tit and don’t want anything of the sort to take place, but rather keep us addicted to their system.

If you believe this then you think that the politicians in Washington are going to switch from a globalistic approach to a nationalistic approach.....it will be a cold day in hell before Soros, Gates, Bezos, etc allow that to happen.
