What were your favorite schoolyard games?

The thread brought up a game called tips which I remember very fondly as a kid. Never played it in gym or anywhere except for kids out at recess. I thought it was great that kids are still playing it and apparently it just still exists through word of mouth and somehow kids just still keep playing it. For those who don't know you have to catch a playground/dodgeball at someone while jumping and then throw it to someone else mid jump. We used to play that for hours.
I also remember in the early 2000's our elementary school took away footballs from the recess equipment so we had to make due with a dodgeball. So for like 3-4 years every single day at recess we would play football with a dodgeball.
Anybody else got any good games they made up/remember from when they were kids?

Dodgeball was always my favorite. I love rain days because I knew we would play dodgeball.

I remember in 3rd grade, the girls used to play red rover and then they thought it would be good to have guys play with them, until one day one of the guys decided to break thru by going feet first in a karate style kick. Snapped one of the girls arms clean. I can almost still hear the sound.

Wall Ball. You throw a tennis ball against a wall, when it bounces back towards you, if it touches anyone, that person must run and touch the wall before someone throws the ball against the wall.

We played a game called Indian Ball since we never had enough to play an actual baseball game. One batter, and everyone else out in the field. Hitter tosses the ball to himself and hits it to the field. If someone in the field catches a fly ball, they switch spots. If it's a ground ball, the batter lays the bat across home plate and the fielder rolls the ball from where he fielded it and tries to hit the bat. If he does, they switch spots, but if it hits the bat and pops in the air, the batter can then catch the ball and remain the batter.
I forget if there was any type of scoring system, but we'd play it for hours in the summer. Not really a school yard game, but whatever.
