Everybody hates on the ACU but when I was a kid my dad still had his fatigue uniform from the sixties and it was pretty crappy. Thick, rough, while at the same time having the appearance of being flimsy. And it stank of some kind of grease.

I saw the changing of the guard in Greece and thought those are nice but glad they don’t have any wars going on.
Then found out Turkey is still itching for a fight.
In answer to the OP, US Marine dress blues. My theory is they did that to make up for all the shite you’re thrown into and have to put up with as a Marine.

my personal favorite duty uniform was the class B of the old Army Green Uniform with the black pullover sweater...
