$3.35/hr at the Space Shuttle arcade at the front of Biltmore in Central. It was 1982.

Later that summer while at Goony Golf, Go-Carts and water slide for my cousins birthday party I saw a help wanted sign and applied. Got the job working the water slide. It paid $4.00/hr. All I did was sit in the sun and shoot kids down the water slide all day. Sometimes their hot moms would flirt with me.

I thought I had the world by the short hairs man.

Grass cutting for 20.00 a yard and a 5.00 tip. Then pumping gas at Billups for 1.50 hour but worked 12 hour days so overtime got me 2.25 an hour after 40hrs.

$5.25 rings a bell; life-guarding and teaching lessons. It was enough to buy me enough beer to keep my belly full.
