Why would you post something like that? Speaking from experience?

My two oldest graduating high school this past month. One got scholarships to NSU and the other going to the Air Force academy!

When I brought little booux to the LA Sportsman show and when we got to the outdoors exhibit he started going wild telling everyone that he was going to shoot every deer they had mounted. then pointing at them and saying pow pow
Had the entire building cracking up.

Had a parent of a 1st grader ask us if we could talk after school (never a good thing). I was very nervous, but she went on to tell us that her son had told her that he had been being picked on by the older kids on the playground but my son saw it and went over there and stood up for him. My son was older too and is kinda the "athlete" for his grade (very white school) so the kids listened to him. She cried telling us the story and how special it made her boy feel that my son cared enough to do something.
I was also pretty frickin proud when I put him in to pitch with bases loaded and a full count on the batter (other pitcher started showing up the ump so he had to go). First pitch strike 3 and we were out of there.

When my oldest took his first shite in the toilet. Knowing from that day forward, I wouldn't have to change a poopy diaper again.

First? Aw well my oldest is 4 and I can't say one specific moment. He's a boy through and through so he's always doing stuff that makes his pops proud. Id have to go w/ him being barely 3 and able to bait, cast, and take his own fish off. He did this once in front of a crowd of older folks and they could not believe it. In a time when kids are glued to their electronics it made me smile to know that my enjoys the outdoors enough to pick things up at such a young age.

My baby is still real little so my proudest moment was when he was born. He is always super proud of himself when he does his baby tricks, which in turn makes me proud, too though.

Last night my son slept through the night for the first time. He slept from 7 pm to 5:45 am. Game changer at work today, I've got a little extra pep in my step from all of the sleep last night

When my oldest son was about 3, I went to pick him up from daycare. When I walked in, he was in the corner facing the wall with his arms crossed and a pissed off look on his face. The sitter was tending to another, much bigger boy who had a bloody lip.
When I asked what happened, the sitter told me the bigger kid had pushed my son down, and my son got up and punched him in the face. Of course, I acted like I was dissapointed in there, but when we got in the car, I gave him a fist bump and told him never to start a fight, but I'd never be upset if he defended himself.

First, the day my son was born.
At about 15-16 months old, he was saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
Last week, he caught his very first bass at 6yo with no help whatsoever.

I had two in the last couple of weeks.
First one, my 9 year old boy- got his standardized test scores back, his percentiles were, 92, 89, 97, 96, 98, 99, 99 and he reads on a 9th grade level. I stood with a smile on my face reading his scores and he said, "I didn't even really try." He's wicked smart.
Second one, my 17 year old girl (no pics pervs) solicited $ from family and friends to fund a mission trip. This summer will be her third trip to the same orphanage in Mexico over the last couple of years. She received a lot of funds and we made her write thank you notes to each. I received this text yesterday from a friend-
"Just wanted you to know what a great job y'all are doing. Besides ALWAYS enjoying being around your children, I just got the BEST thank you note I have received in YEARS. Way more than a "check the box" note, she hit it out of the park. I consider that a reflection of good teachings. Bravo!"
Both completely different, but both made me smile. Blessed to watch these kids grow up!

My oldest step boy who is 15, loves Bama. We were watching the Bama LSU game last year and my oldest step boy said roll tide when they scored a touchdown. My little boy who is 3 looked at him and said"Bama sucks, Bama sucks, JJ......LSU, LSU, LSU!!!" It was at that moment I knew I succeeded as a parent lol
