Teaching both my Daughter and Son how to swim in our pool
Seeing them ride a two wheel bike.
Watching them play coach pitch softball and hitting the ball on their own.
Watching them bream fish and light up when they set the hook and reel it in.

Each time I wore a condom & flushed them down the toilet
"We're not ready for the world yet lil guys, I can't be selfish"
I'm trying to be a responsible parent

I was also pretty frickin proud when I put him in to pitch with bases loaded and a full count on the batter (other pitcher started showing up the ump so he had to go). First pitch strike 3 and we were out of there.
Why would you change pitchers with a full count????

When my three year old Tigerbated her mother...an Aggie. Brought a tear to my eye.

The moment I cut the umbilical cord on each of my three kids.
In the movies they just snip it and it's cut like tissue paper. But it's more like cutting meat. I don't know but I found that so weird when I did it.
For me, so far, it was the first time the little guy rolled over on his own. Then it was when he grabbed the bottle out my hand. Both of those blew me the frick away. Can't imagine how cool it will be when he can walk and talk.

After reading some of these I consider myself super lucky. My little girl has been sleeping the whole night since she was around 4 weeks old.(currently knocking on wood) She only woke up when my wife went to feed her/change her then back to sleep. Stopped doing the middle of the night feeding and she's out at 800-830 and sleeps until 530-600.
Holding the bottle on her own was awesome and she just started crawling so now we definitely have to watch her like a hawk because she is on the move.

The first was probably courtesy of my middle child, as has been the peak of pride event.
When my first two were born, my older daughter had lower APGAR scores than her older brother. The Pediatrician followed them out of the OR, as they transitioned them towards going in the nursery-- clean off, first diapering, etc.
Anyway, while the nurses were getting my boy ready, the pediatrician kept poking at my daughter, until she started getting really tired of his shite-- a little frustrated face that I'd come to know well over the years making its first appearance. Finally, he prodded her once too often, and she projectile pissed all over him. I never realized babies fresh out of the womb had that kind of pissing capacity, but she hosed that guy down.
He yelped in surprise, and I saw her first smile. She owned my heart completely from then, with her 'enough with the bullshite' attitude.
Fast forward a few years later; she was turning 4. She decided one of the things she wanted for her birthday was a nice wall clock for her bedroom, as she was trying to learn how to tell time and it would be a mark of her 'getting bigger' and getting to do more things like have a later bed time that she felt would come with being able to read a clock.
We did the rounds of the furniture stores and whatnot, in search of a wall clock she liked; unfortunately, they seem to be very hard to find in stores these days, as we found virtually none. Finally, in frustration, she suggested Wal-Mart. I explained they'd only really have garbage clocks, but she was fine with getting one of those until we could find a nicer clock.
Somewhat defeated, I agreed, and we made our way to Wal-Mart, where we ended up on an aisle full of digital clocks. One of the workers came up to us, and asked if there was anything that she could help us with-- I explained my daughter was learning to tell time as her 4th birthday approached, and we were looking for a clock with hands on it. My little girl, tiny thing that she was, nodded along and was very very plainly visible to the sales clerk.
The clerk paused for a moment, and said 'Well, if she needed to tell the time, couldn't she just check her celphone?'
My little girl-- without missing a beat, looked to me and said 'Daddy....is this lady stupid?'
I did the only thing I could. I nodded, said 'Afraid so, sweetheart', and we left.
She got a grandfather style clock about a month later. She still has no tolerance of stupid people- I'm so proud of her.
