It’s always about $$$ (mostly). If you knew now what you could have known then……..and if people had the knowledge and the means at the same time…..hell……we would always be unstoppable!
I have two answers.
Honda Prelude with flip up lights. Hondas are built to last.
Old school Toyota 4x4. They don’t make ‘em like they used to…..and that summarizes the thread.
But my son still drives an 07 Chevy Silverado. And he may drive/fix it for decades! I hope he does.

I really liked my 2007 Ford Edge. Five years, 100k miles, and no issues at all. Had to trade it in for a minivan when my wife started popping out kids.

1972 Grand Torino Sport! Great car.

1969 GTO Judge in Carousel Red (actually orange) I bought with my hard-earned $ sacking groceries at age 15 for $1,500. That car was so full of Bondo a magnet wouldn't stick but it was gorgeous and fun. I almost pulled the trigger on a similar one with matching #'s a few years ago at the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction but it sold for beyond my budget. What a great car.

1964 1/2 hardtop Mustang. Baby blue, straight 6, 3 on the floor. Loved that car. Unfortunately, I had no idea what I had at the time.

I've never regretted getting rid of a vehicle, but my dad regrets getting rid of his 1967 Olds 442. It looked exactly like this.

Off white 1968 Chevy Impala. It ran like shite (350 with a broken motor mount), but it was clean and looked good.

My old Porsche 944S2 and my 1970 Dodge Dart with a slant 6. I aslo had the original VW 16V GTI. It was very fun to drive.

I bought one just like this --1970 Teal Fiat 500 -- when I lived in Italy.
Paid €1500 and it was in pretty good shape too.
I traded it for a handful of rare Punk 45 records when I moved.
I kind of wish I would have shipped it back to the US. Or maybe I could have just checked it on the the flight.

Really miss the '68 Cougar. I put a mildly built 351W in it.
Really miss the '08 F-250. Was a short box heavy duty. Had 2 half doors for the back seat. After deletes, new pulleys and programming, it was probably the fastest vehicle I ever had. It would spank our '13 Boss.
