Even though the thought will make this entire board collectively puke, the answer is probably some northeastern liberal arts college like Middlebury.

Of course, if I misunderstood the question and "college experience" equals "best partying" then answers already supplied like UGA, UCLA, etc are definitely in the mix.

It's great to have a good athletics program to root for, but a lot of schools listed here are just too big to have the ideal college experience. JMO.

Pepperdine is the first place that came to mind for me. Or somewhere similar. Close to a big city but not in the middle of one. Good academics. Idyllic setting.

Yeah I agree. It depends on how you define "college experience" which is completely subjective.

If we're talking about what school provides the best experience in terms of what a university education is supposed to be, I'd go with Dartmouth.

If we're talking about the most fun, best partying, etc. while still being a good school with good athletics, I'd have to go with UGA . Yeah I know I'm biased. But then again, so is everyone else in this thread.

I would think a well rounded school would be CU-Boulder. It's a large party school, lots of craft beer and drugs (if you're into that, i'm not really) if you feel like partying, unlimited outdoor activities if you don't. World class skiing is right there. Denver only a short drive away, but far enough that you don't feel like you live in Denver.

Just as important, academically it's very prestigious for a state school, especially the engineering department. So it's pretty much win-win. Only downside would be all the trust-fund hippies you'd have to associate with. I hear half of them come from Texas.

Being completely honest though its hard for me not to say that UGA is the best. It may be a little homerism because I went there, but it really is the full experience IMO. Solid academics, great selection of women on campus, great sports scene, and the city of Athens is just incredible.

Tulane fits this. Can't think of many cities I'd rather live in my early 20s. Also has kids from every corner of the country.

Most of the B1G schools other than Purdue are solid candidates.
