What to use a dining room for?

Like many of you with the older style houses we have this unused dining room in the house that I need ideas for.
We usually eat in an area next to the kitchen that's big enough for a full size table so this room goes unused.
It's next to a window with a good view but because of its proximity to the kitchen and front door it's not the most quiet or comfortable place in the house.
Already have an office, reading room, and gym.

Is this a subtle "I have too many rooms" brag thread?

Billiard/bar may be an awesome idea.
Kids play room may work.
Proud of the OT coming up with 2 solid responses on the first page.

We use our dining room as a dining room.

Library. Real wooden shelving and a leather armchair. No electronics.

A good suggestion. Do they not ever have company over for a nice dinner?

Take the tv out your living room and turn that into formal living room with a piano and turn the dining room to a den with the tv.

I'm making mine a formal living room with the nicer sofa, chair and tempered glass table. Reg living room will have the cheaper furniture so when the kid forgets to not bounce around my girl doesn't lose her shite.
