Get your shite together people.
I have seen threads asking about everywhere from Honolulu to Amsterdam. Do you guys really rely that much on the OT?

People just want to brag that they are going on a trip somewhere

Then you get the occasional, "What to do in Lake Charles?"

People don't know how to live

Stick to trolling the music board, little buddy

For most people living in Lafayette, making a trip to Lake Charles or Baton Rouge is a big deal

If you're talking about me, I asked specifically about golf courses and people's experience at specific courses. It worked out very well.
I also use trip advisor when planning a trip. Is that stupid?

Has anyone ever been to Austin?
Any recs?

I don't see the big deal with this. People post here enough to know which posters fit closest to them with opinions so getting a recommendation from someone like that would be better than some random travel blog.

Not a big deal but it's just lazy and they will get much better advice than the OT elsewhere. TripAdvisor for starters.

Disagree, if I post a question in a TripAdvisor forum I get a response from whatever intern the local board of tourism has assigned to monitor message boards. If I post a question to the OT I get 4 restaurant recs, a few decent bars to go to, and 11 people telling my I'd have a much better time sitting in my hotel room fapping to whatever model they have acting in that default hotel "tourism" channel the TV always reverts to instead of heading out in town - the OT is way better.

My point is more along the lines of if you need to ask what there is to do in Rome, then you shouldn't be fricking going to Rome.

It is just a conversation topic. Most people I would hope have some sort of idea what they want to do already. It can only help to look for more ideas.

Actually was driving through Little Rock last week and the OT killed the lunch rec... incredible BBQ - forgot the name though
