That's probably the very worst thing you could do. Unless the gunman is in sight, you fricking run. If you don't have training, you could get more people killed. It's hard enough for experts who understand active shooter tactics.

basically that 2 people even armed shouldn't be able to take out 100 people.
if there's no other options then attack and the more people joining in the better.

I was going to suggest someone pretend to be retarded(like have you seen my baseball?), and while the gunman is distracted by trying to decide how wrong it would be to shoot a retard, you give a Ric Flair low blow, but that was priceless.

the problem is shooters come in guns blazing. shooting a spray pattern all over the room and ceiling which creates chaos. not much time to react. then whoever got maimed initially and didn't have time to run off is executed.
it's not like they walk in a room yelling NOBODY MOVE OR ILL SHOOT.
