What time should a place with "cafe" in the name open?

Wife (no pics) is trying to argue that 8am is a reasonable time.

I'm saying no later than MAYBE 6:30 am, earlier preferably.

A cafe opening at 8am is catering to stay at home moms that have nothing to do after dropping Meighsleigh off at school. 6am cafes are full of old men drinking unlimited refill $2 coffee complaining about politics

You should call the manager.

Depends. The term split a long time ago. Is the place putting itself out more as a European style relaxed place to have a coffee, or more of a quick greasy spoon breakfast counter? I would expect the latter to open far earlier than the former.

So you’re saying that cafe owners should open 2 hours earlier to make an extra $12?

7-8

Depends on the location. If you opened a cafe in Boise at 6 am you'll be sitting empty for a hour and a half.

In a town where the population is more working class, probably earlier.

6a, in any tourist related town.

The coffee stands open around 4a and can print money.

If you're in a tourism town, 6a is necessary, if you want to compete.
