What about Chevron with Techron?
Posted on 9/16/16 at 11:34 pm to Sidicous
Branded gasoline usually has some sort of proprietary detergent in it...Techron for example. Valero, racetrac, flying j....whatever...use a generic detergent additive.
But you are right...gas is gas...except for Atlanta Grade CBOB...which is what pumps down Colonial's line to this region of the South.

Where do they separate the ethanol free from the 90/10?
When I went to the store earlier all they had was their ethanol free premium left. Until the AM anyway, she said they had a truck coming around 2-3am.
This was a "Q-Gas", not one of the main names, but pretty much the only place that carries the ethanol free premium around here.
What do they do, pump it all to a certain place(s) where it gets divided up into the different octanes and cut (or not) with ethanol and then have the trucks for different stores pick it up?

Pretty much. Refiners send it down the pipes. Distributors blend it for their customers (retailers) and ship it out.
The additives are basically about the same too. Remember your chemistry classes with dextro and levo also how the marijuana substitutes get around the THC laws? Move the molecules around in the chemical composition and Additive A becomes Additive B and both can have separate patents.

Cool.
I figured that's pretty much how it was done.

You got ripped off. I'm looking at $1.85 at the Chevron at Eastex @ 105 in Beaumont right now...premium is $2.04.

It was at that Greyhound Bus station.
Man I feared for my life when I pulled up in there.
I went inside to take a leak and it smelled so bad in the store I gaged. I turned around and walked out. Ended up holding it until I got to Orange.

Colonial Pipeline Co. said Friday that its primary gasoline pipeline wouldn't be operational again for a week. The pipeline connects refineries in Texas and Louisiana with 13 states spanning from Georgia to New York, supplying the region with nearly 40 percent of its gasoline.
Meanwhile in Baton Rouge, we'll just drive around and try to burn up all the excess gasoline. Doing our part... again.

Line at the Kroger on Nolensville is about a quarter mile long. I also saw another station that increased the price by a dollar/gallon overnight.

The only place with gas in Green Hills is Kroger. Pretty decent line but 12 of 14 pumps working. $2.88 for Super.

Sounds basically, if I was a terrorist, I could wreek havoc on america simply by blowing a few holes in a few pipelines?
I assume the same for the power grid as well.
