When's the last time you've heard of a hurricane hitting Hawaii?

Per wiki

quote:

September 2016: Hurricane Lester passed slowly to the northeast of the islands as a category 2 hurricane. Its outer rainbands produced heavy showers and minor flooding over the leeward slopes of the Big Island and portions of east Maui.

I can't seem to recall ever hearing about one on the news that left power out for months or killed a bunch of people though.

Because no one lives in Idaho.

Arizona, maybe? Seems like a neurotic way to live life, deciding location around avoiding all natural disasters.

Would love to live in Montana. Such a beautiful state. I'll take cold over fricking hot muggy weather any day of the week.

There is always something, but I have drawn to Colorado lately. It just seems like a beautiful place. Nice plot of land with a cabin with a view of the Rockies.....that sounds like a nice place to die.

Apparently Syracuse, New York has the least amount of natural disasters according to the Google. They can't be counting blizzards as natural disasters then. And I wouldn't want to live there.

Seriously though, I've lived all over the world, been stationed on 5 of the 7 continents, and been to one of those. There are places as pretty as NW Arkansas, and people as friendly as people here, but there is nowhere better than here IMO.

I go to Heber quite often. Love it up there.

Already been said but Southern AZ

Bonus......your homeowners insurance is much cheaper because there is no threat of a major natural disaster.
