I found a stainless steel skillet that cost 60 new and paid five bucks. You can tell the quality because it's heavy and we'll made.

Weights / Dumbbells
So many people buy them and use them once and then give up.
Get them cheap. Nice ones too.

60's-70's era stereo receivers, vinyl records and cd's. The receivers aren't as easy to find anymore but I've found a bunch of old vinyl records in great shape which introduced me to lots of old artists I never would have listened to otherwise like Chet Atkins and Herb Alpert ( recently). There's something extremely satisfying to me about finding an old forgotten record, cleaning it up, and giving it "life" again.

Kid shoes especially cleats. I’ve found barely used cleats on multiple occasions for a few bucks whereas retail they would be around $100.

Books for sure. When my kids were younger and playing baseball and softball, I would look for practive bats and balls. Also, rubber coated dumbells.

The first things I go for are odd VHS tapes. I feel about VHS the way lots of people my age feel about vinyl, plus they're 10 cents a piece. Recently, I actually found a Bloomberg for Mayor tape from '01 that had $100 in twenties hidden in the slipcase.
My favorite things to find thrifting (other than bribe money) are old broadcast recordings with the commercials intact. For example, I have the '97 and '98 Miss America pageants, both live from Shreveport, with commercials that anyone who grew up in da Pohht City would've grown up watching. They're time capsules that show exactly what the world looked like for someone, somewhere, a long time ago. I think that's really cool.
I also grab lava lamps, cool vintage clothing or unworn dress shirts, vintage electronics, and really any vintage media that looks intriguing.

Same. Scottsdale, AZ Goodwill are prime for this.

I go to Goodwill and buy pants, all the time.
Slacks, if you will.
I have a particular skill set for ruining pants, so I need to buy them on the cheap.
30 waist and 32 leg are my go-to zone.
I pay about $8, per pant, tax free in Oregon.
Then I destroy the aforementioned slacks when I climb up and start to rain/reign hell.

I wore a goodwill blazer to another posters wedding this year and got enough compliments to justify the $12
That’s actually a great idea. The wife and I make stupid good money, but $12 for a blazer sounds fantastic.

I haven't been to Goodwill specifically in years. But I do see them at the Jacob's Well thrift store.

Thrift stores are definitely worth your time but full disclosure you will need to dig around. The best items are:
Shoes
Toys
Baby stuff (strollers, baby carriers, clothes, etc)
Tuxedos (way cheaper to have one then to rent)
Blazers
Kitchen Stuff
Sports equipment
Vintage Clothes
Like others have said, it’s a treasure trove of stuff especially thrift stores near well to do areas (rich people just give away nice stuff).

I bought a very nice 3'X3' coffee table, with a parquet top, at a Dallas area Salvation Army Store. It was sturdy enough for me to stand on it and dance a jig.
