I normally like the quiet ones if I'm Ubering around my town. But in Vegas a few months ago, we took a ride from our hotel to Old Vegas and the driver was an excellent tour guide pointing out things along the way.

One who is professional with a clean car and doesn’t weird me out or try to make stupid small talk. AKA normal. Race doesn’t matter.
I’ve had some really interesting ones and some really rude ones. It really varies. I honestly like hearing the perspective of poorer folks trying to make it, like people who are out of a job and are trying to pay the bills. Jokes aside it gives you a sense of humility.

This is what I get damn near every time with Uber. It’s awful. Their quality control has tanked.

Reminds me when I was taking uber from the strip to Golden Gate Casino on Fremont who's diner had amazing pancakes. I get in, the driver asks where I'm going.."Golden Gate, it's downtown on Fremont." Her: "Oh ok. I used to deal blackjack at Golden Nugget, nice place." Me: "Oh cool, but I'm going to Golden Gate." Her: "Yes Golden Nugget is a nice place you like it."
Ride home was some baw in a Dodge pickup who was picking up shifts as him and his wife just moved to town and she was a teacher and he was still looking for a fulltime gig. Dude hauled some arse down I-15.

I really enjoy the recent Arab immigrant who has his telephone earpiece in his ear while getting directions from the guy who he is on the phone with. Added bonus is no A/C but rolls down the windows. Now that is my type of Uber driver!

Perfectly fine if they're quiet but I usually like to have some small talk with them.
