I use an old iPhone 5 for music this way. frick that "glitch" when using IPod input in my Honda. You have to keep ONE song in music app or you can't play Spotify. It starts Shake it Off every time and I have to physically press play on Spotify on the phone. Booo!

My wife is a clutch dumper and though it technically doesn't grind my gears, I don't think it's good for the rear differential.
