This thread reminds me. Does anyone follow the advice of Lisa Rangel?

Brosef check the last page. I added something to my last post that is helpful.

I've seen a few job listings in New Orleans. It would have to be a really good job for me to make that commute. Not sure I'd want to live there full time either.

I saw it. Mainly just looking for jobs in the Baton Rouge area right now. Thanks though.

CSRA in Shreveport will hire you.

Should definitely be a consideration.
There's a lot of opportunities available if people just cast a wider net.

First job is no longer listed. I think I may have applied to it though. I have already received a rejection email for the other job.
Posted on 3/6/18 at 1:51 pm to Brosef Stalin
well, apply to those job sites like indeed , robert half, next smartsearch etc.. and get the daily emails.
Posted on 3/6/18 at 1:54 pm to MorbidTheClown
I get 3 or 4 emails a day from indeed and a few a week from linkedin. I know I've applied to a job through Robert Half but don't get updates from them. Maybe I didn't register with them though.

It sucks bad at times, I feel your pain.
I went almost two years.
Prob applied for 200 indeed jobs and may have had 20 of those reply.
Not sure what's so great about indeed.
Hang in there is all I can tell you.
Talk to everybody everywhere you go.
Dont be afraid to ask and tell people you are job searching.
I'd be willing to be there isn't a person On this board that at one point of their life got a job bc they knows someone or someone they knew knew they right person.
Time ticks on regardless what you decide to do.
Might as well keep trying.

Move to India if you want to work for a company at their help desk
Posted on 3/6/18 at 1:57 pm to Brosef Stalin
the last 2 jobs i got were through indeed. just have to be persistent and apply to anything that looks like it's close. almost every job posting lists ridiculous experience requirements. apply even if you don't have the experience.

Have you looked at the state. Salary is decent, but benefits are very good.
They are hiring helpdesk people now. There have been a lot of postings lately.

15 in two weeks is slacking. Think about it, the companies you applied to might get 15+ applications a day on indeed.
These companies figure 1 out of those 15 might even be worth interviewing.

Brosef, I work for Robert Half, albeit in Austin. Send me your resume and contact info and I can guarantee you a call from Robert Half.
I saw that you’re only interested in positions in NOLA, but I have 4 help desk jobs open right now if you’d consider a move.
Edit: I see MaHitta has you taken care of.

You are going to be stuck if you limit yourself to baton rouge.

Seriously.
Beggars can't be choosers. Sometimes you have to go where the work is.

I just submitted a resume to Robert Half. I thought I already did but maybe not. I have applied to so many places its hard to keep track of.
