About to invest in a new one and wow there are soooo many to choose from these days. They range in price from $350 to $8,000.
They have mattresses in boxes, Some beds that are basically hospital style on steroids that move all around, they have hybrids, they got ones that vibrate, ones that are pillow top soft and others firm as heck, some that balance a glass of wine on and one that raw eggs can’t be broken on!
It’s overwhelming to say the least.
What are y’all sleeping on?
Tomorrow I begin my search while there are Father’s Day and July 4th sales.
TIA

We bought a Tuft and Needle

It’s incredible.

My wife got the extra cushion to put on top. If you like a firm bed, skip it.

Latest mattress, which I love, was just a regular Sealy for about $1k. I’ve come to the conclusion that regardless of mattress, it just needs to be replaced every 3-5 years.

We have been using Tempur-Pedic for almost 20 years and wouldn't buy anything else.

Restonic has been the last 2 I bought. Latest one was about 2 or 3 years ago and it was only $1600. Great mattress

The price of mattresses is absolutely insane.

We got ours custom made from Wholesale Mattress on Florida. Cheaper than the big box stores and has been awesome for 7 years. Highly recommend it.

I have been needing a mattress for ten years now...every time I say I am going to buy one I get overwhelmed and give up the search.

Pshh..Mine was 300. And it didn't expand all the way to 12 inches like Amazon said it would so I called to return it. They refunded my money and told me to dispose of it since it wasn't worth it to pick it up.

I'm still sleeping on it.

I feel a little guilty about it. But it was the second one we purchased (the first expanded fine, I guess this one stayed compressed too long). It's between 10 and 11 inches but frankly it sleeps fine.

The expansion of memory foam is "democratizing" the market. The tempurpedic prices are outrageous. I believe there is extra quality to be had in memory foam--but it's not 10 times better than what you can get off of Amazon.

Mattress stores and the mattress business in general is right up there with the "buy here pay here" used car dealer types. Stick with Amazon or the Casper/Purple direct sale types.

Just got a Nectar and am very happy with it. I would say it's on the firm side but that's what I like. I was worried it would sleep warm but it's not warm at all.
