Hard to tell from that pic, but doesn't look like a copperhead or moccasin.

Whole bunch of people 100% sure what kind of snake it is, problem is they all say it is something different

Here's a picture of a baby cottonmouth. Look at the shape of the head. I don't think your pic was of a cottonmouth.

Ah, could help narrow it down if it had. You mentioned it being a baby, juvenile cottonmouths and copperheads will have that yellow marking on the tail a lot of times.

I think the people saying banded water snake are right.
