1. Fill up all the cars, get extra gas for generator, stock the house with more than enough food, water bottles, etc.
2. Buy some food and water and hunker down with plans to get more essentials, if necessary
3. Stock up a few frozen pizzas and pray for the best
4. Nothing but beer and prayers

I’m a 4. My wife is a 1. So it’s a nice balance. I buy beer and she makes sure we won’t go hungry.

Somewhere between a 3&4
30 pack of High Life, couple 6 packs of "good beer", few non-refrigerated snacks, and ingredients for the meal that I will be cooking during the storm

Drove in from TN this morning because I haven’t sold my house yet and wanted to keep an eye on it. Went to the store, got food, water, topped the tank on the truck, went to Walgreens and got 3 bottles of Pedialyte, and spent about 250 bucks on bourbon and beer.

Fill up the cars, make sure generator is working, evacuation plans for family, stock up, drink heavily. Lather rinse repeat.

Better watch it real close to keep it safe from this weather

2. Wife would be a 0 on that list and I would be a 4. Marriage is compromise.

A little of 2, but more of a none of the above.
I'll grab some food I can throw on a grill if I lose power, but other than that I do nothing. Always have beer, liquor, and wine in the house.
Today I ran to the store to pick up corn & potatoes, usually have beef and chicken in the freezer

If I end up drinking all this booze, I’m going to be keeping a closer eye on the plumbing

#1. Living on Luna Bars for days after Gustav when we couldn’t leave our street & had no power made me realize how much I appreciate variety.

Got some canned food and bottled water. Put gas in the vehicles. Beer, cigars and snacks are restocked. I filled some sandbags because we are the low point in the neighborhood and water gets high once the drain gets backed up. I’m not overly worried, but there is a potential for flooding.

My hurricane prep consists of putting gas in my car so that if we lose power, I can still charge my phone.

I've been religiously marking my hurricane tracking map from the Real Superstore.

I bought more beer and ice. Took some ducks out and made a gravy. frick filling up the tank I’m not driving around during the storm
I did go to the hardware store for batteries but ended up buying a bunch of unrelated bullshite.

Somebody said it earlier in this thread and it’s genius.
Power goes out, vehicle provides an easy source to charge phones, laptops, tablets etc.
having a charged phone could be the difference in life or death.

Just beer. Standby generator gives the power and I have enough food in the freezer to feed my entire neighborhood
