What kind of fall coat should I buy?

Welp it looks like it's going to start cooling down around here. I'm in the market for a new fall coat. Something sort of all purpose that would work in a business casual but also sort of outdoors type. OT got any good leads on this purchase?

I have a thick wool sportcoat that's basically a peacoat, but not so beta. It's this dark charcoal color inbetween black and grey.

I get tons of compliments on it.
