Also I meant to say medical professionals/Physicians but I edited the post and backed it out I guess.
If someone is to give a hot take on something and then say “lol I’ll pass” re: researching it,

quote:Same here except I always have a little Huey Lewis and the News playing in the background while i'm doing my crunches.
I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In '87, Huey released Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Face wash is (insert soap brand here) in the shower with a rag.
Moisturizer is whatever my wife buys me at Bath Body Works.

Oh good god no. I’m such a product hoarder.
To the guy who posted the rose witch hazel, I started using it about a year ago and my skin loves it.

I love the IT confidence in a cream.
Haven’t tried the night one yet because I’m still going through my Dr Brandt

quote:Do you think everyone in this thread has a serious skin condition?
I assure you people with serious skin conditions are not just “doing too much”.
quote:The world of dermatology would collapse if people found out they probably don't need all that crap.
If it were that easy, I’m sure the world of dermatology would be thrilled
quote:I didn't say that. I know that skin problems are real. I am not anti-doc or anti-medicine or anything like that.
But the entire skincare industry is not just a sham.
I'm just saying that people seem to start using a bunch of products during puberty to control acne and breakouts, and then they never stop doing it once it's no longer necessary. Then their skin becomes dependent on it and they make it necessary.

Thank God I am trashy enough to not hafta waste money on stuff like this. I shampoo my whole head top and bottom with what ever is handy usually its old spice high endurance body wash I find it smells good and a lil goes a long ways and is cheaper than bar soap in the long run.

It’s different for us girls.
And y’all all already think we age like a banana, milk, or deli meat. At least according to Monday’s thread
Wonder what you’d think if we didn’t take care of our skin?

And you asked me to look at skin care forums, not exactly "research". What am I supposed to learn from that?
