People have no idea how tenuous the world's food supply actually is.
I think it's more of a distribution thing than supply.

Supply could be an issue in that mass food production is somewhat concentrated and is therefore vulnerable to massive disaster.
Example: if Yellowstone goes kaboom and the all the plains states get covered in thick layer of ash, global corn supply plummets.

Overpopulation. Civilization insures more successful births. Weaker children, who wouldn’t survive in challenging environments, grow into weaker adults who become burdens on society.
These weaker adults procreate more weak children. With no checks on the growth of the weaker members of a society, ultimately they become the majority and figuratively suck the vitality out of a civilization.

Anything man-made is probably survivable - however, a collision with a big space rock (asteroid/meteorite) is a real existential threat. And I doubt any technology currently in the conceptual/planning phase is adequate to mitigate the threat.

DIdnt someone post a CIA report on pole shift recently? Catastrophic event.

Of the two, climate change is more likely to happen before the poles shift. But I don’t think it will be the death of civilization worldwide.
