A job. Literally that's it, and I'm really having a ton of issues with even that. I've never been a huge fan of LA, but I'm really having a hard time lately so it's smacking home I don't belong here.

I like it here.

And it's far enough away from my mom.

And there's no winter.

Gee, another one of THESE threads. It's been at least a few days, I guess it was time.

All the things you listed don't bother me as much as the terrible weather. Let's be honest we have some of the shittiest weather in the country. I mean, I'd take it over Alaska and Maine and all the northern states that get cold as shite, but the humidity, heat, and constant rain/flooding are getting ridiculous. Not to mention the hurricanes.

Starting to seriously consider moving to Colorado.

Nothing. I moved for work 12 years ago and I'll never go back. I have a much better career and life here in Texas than I could have ever had in La. I love my home state but between the crime, corruption, and culcha, I don't ever see myself going back there.

Wtf is wrong with y'all? How is this possibly a problem?
I'm not sure if it's worse that you apparently have a feral dog problem, or that you apparently have nobody to pick up roadkill.

Well, it's as bad as it can get here, so there is no other way to go but up.

My job. When I retire in the next 5-10 years, I'm out of here.

The better thread would be "What keeps you from coming back to Louisiana"

Jobs.

Less pay for the same job in Texas.

Will we ever see a time where people are optimistic about working in La.

The sound of gunshots at night help me sleep as the whizzes of bullets past my house and gunshot discharges are calming and relaxing unlike that of listening to wild animals screaming at night or waiting for the next Tsunami to hit if you listened to waves hitting the beach.

I was wondering that as well. Germany was pretty sweet in the late 1800's. Things didn't really go to shite until they backed Austria-Hungary.

Decent jobs everywhere in Houston or Dallas. What field?

Part of the reason I don't have a job out there is I don't know what I'm doing yet. I have experience in the sports industry and in drafting. Neither are satisfying or bring in the money.
