Only 1 of the 8 I've stood in has lasted and it was my Brother-in-Law's marriage to my sister.

Does this make you want to evaluate who your friends are?

3 for 3 are still going. One for about 10 years. The other two about 3 or 4 years I think. I don't talk to one of the couples anymore though. Was best man in that wedding.

Been in 24. Best man in 4. 2 ended in divorces, 2 ended in deaths. Other 20 are still happily married, longest being 21 years this summer.

I’ve been in too many to remember. Only one failed. The second time he got married I stood in that one too. I’m fricking done. Too damn expensive.

They're all good guys. They just got married at an early age and didn't know the demands of making it work. Only 5 of the marriages were friends. The other 3 were family members, probably similarly at a pivotal point in their lives where they chose the wrong turn. Actually, now that I said that, my cousin and her husband are still married, so that makes 2/8 that have been successful. But she's just waiting for her kids to finish school before she divorces him. He's been running around on her and they live quite separate lives. Marriage is a nasty business for a lot of people

Either 2-0 or 1-0-1.

One couple married, divorced, later married again, and are still technically/legally married.

I may need a ruling on this.
