I'll repost since it seems no one is seeing my last paragraph:

As for the Judge as a choice, I don't see the point. It's still a really inaccurate .410 shotgun at best. A 12 guage tactical has more lead in the air, more stopping power, and more rounds. Sure, it's cool to have a pistol that shoots 410 shells, but it's still a 410 as compared to a 12. What am I missing?

You arent missing anything. Youre spot on. I think alot of people like it just for the coolness factor. An 870 youth model 20ga is the most effective IMO.

A Judge is a nice snake pistol for those rucking about.

I wouldn't like it for my uses inside my home.

No one gun is better than having a plan and preventing yourself from becoming the victim. Having said that; POF 415, 6.8 SPC, 24rnd mag with SSA 110g PSPs, EOTECH holographic sight, iron back ups, contact switched laser, Firestorm LED light. On the wife's side; Glock 17, 30 extended mag so she can non stop blast away and maybe get lucky, Trijicons, grip switched red laser

I'm not a pussy that lives in constant paranoia of the boogie man.

Rather use peace and love to combat hate.

If Sean Taylor had a gun in his room he'd probably still be alive.

I don't have children so I keep a Judge in the nightstand with a Remington 870 tactical shotgun propped up next to it. There's a tomahawk under the bed for good measure.

Never underestimate kids though. 5 seems like the prime age to secure that gun better. Kids climb and are curious as hell at 5 years old. All he has to do is grab a chair and dig in drawers thinking he is looking for candy or something else and then come across that gun.
