Dog = Shiba Inu, the confusion of an intruder trying to figure out what breed he is will be priceless plus buy me a few extra seconds (have had people ask me was he a husky, alaskan malamute, red wolf )

In night stand Taurus Judge with a mix of Defender rounds and .45LC HP
Shotgun case has a shatterable door for the in case of emergency/scare the shite out of an intruder sound. Mossberg 12 ga with buckshot + 410 with defender rounds.
Gun in the truck? Beretta PX4 9MM with HP.

You're suggesting he use a fricking rifle to mitigate penetration???????????

Yeah, I was pretty flabbergasted by this.

Please, explain to me how fragmented pieces of a 55 grain .223 round that begin to fragment on the moment of impact will be more lethal than a shotgun buck pellet or slug that will slice right through 4 layers of sheetrock and keep on trucking without a problem. I didnt say use a fricking 180 grain 7mm mag rifle round. I said a .223 from an AR. I'll wait...

it is 8-12 hours away from changing, but that's my business...right now it's a compact 1911 with tritium night sights. Works for my living and sleeping situation.

.44 magnum in the night stand.
12 gauge with 3 slugs loaded in there.
If i need more than 9 shots in a home invasion I deserve whatever happens next.

Bulldog wondering around the floors.
380 w/ laser behind the alarm clock.
And plethora of options once I get to the closet. I sleep very well at night.

correct

5.56 will go through a pine tree as big as my thigh. A piece of drywall ain't causing the projectile to degrade significantly at all.

And to be fair 5.56 vs sheetrock

I think the lesson is no matter what you shoot be damn sure of what is behind it
