The things I've said to get them to say yes are honestly more embarrassing.

I'm more embarrassed about even asking a few that said yes. There are some real mopeds in there.

I completely misread the situation with a friend's older cousin back in college. She was in town for his graduation, and mistook her friendliness for flirting. She was not amused when I tried to kiss her, and let my friend know.

Yep. You have to bury those memories down deep and never ever speak about them.

Same with my ex. Found out later it was because she saw her abusive ex bf was there and wanted a guy around to dissuade him from coming near her.

Women are in a tough spot. A guy always thinks he has a chance inless she acts like a total bitch, and sometimes even then.

It's true, they pigeonhole you as either romance material or friend zone within a couple of minutes of meeting you and they rarely change their minds.

April, the long legged blonde that was way out of my league and I never had the balls to ask out ASKED ME OUT our senior year.

She had heard that I "liked her" and she was waiting on me to ask her out. Wanted me to take her to a playoff game at a neighboring school. I got new clothes, got a haircut, got roses and showed up to her house and her bitch friend was there and "coming with us."

I did the gentlemanly thing and took both of them out, bought both of their dinners and tickets to this other school's football game. Kind of hung out with them the first quarter and then her real date showed up - some loser from another school.

"My parents won't let me date him but they will you. Thanks for dinner." The friend was there because she knew I was a good guy and would probably pay for her dinner as well. I left them high and dry and made sure I told everyone what happened. It got back to her parents before the weekend was over. She was straight pissed at me but all of the girls in our class took my side. I had a great finish to senior year.

At class night she got all emotional and tried to apologize and I told her to go to hell.

April the long legged blonde lives in a single wide and has five kids by three dads 25 years later. Currently has a Gofundme set up to pay her bills. I didn't strike out, I missed a bullet.

If you don’t get up to the plate you cannot strike out. That apart of playing the game.

A young kid at a party a few years ago was scared to ask out a chick a few years older than him.

I told him to tell her.
I know I am young, but you will always be young as you want to be in my mind.
It worked the poor guy got laid.

She didn’t make me look stupid, just feel stupid. I asked her out and she said “we are better as just friends”.

When I was like 15, I asked my crush to go to some concert with me. Pronounced her name wrong so that was a resounding NO from her.

The bright side: she grew up to be a crazy single cat lady that posts relationship quotes on FB. Dodged a bullet.

Approaching girls in bars who have boyfriends in the bar away getting drinks was always the most "embarassing". I put it in quotes for 2 reasons.

1) If you're ever going to become successful at picking up women in bars, you have to get used to getting rejected for a variety of reasons - many that have nothing to do with you. For instance, many times the girl's jealous friends cock block you behind your back. You can't take it personally.

2) I was always pretty careful. If I approached a taken girl, it was because she was giving at least SOME signals that she wasn't taken, and those types of chicks are BOUND to give their significant others many a headache in the not too distant future. I ain't interested in that type of girl anyway.

Must be a real a-hole to make a girl embarrass you with her rejection. Most girls don't want to embarrass a guy unless they're just a total dick.

I am glad I'm not in that game anymore though.

Hit it off real good with a babe at a buddies wedding when I was 21. Many Jameson shots and lines of coke later I old school two foot drop kicked the wedding cake at the reception. The girl along with everyone else at the reception was horrified. Did not get laid but did get my arse beat in the foyer.
