I hope social media provides you with the answers you seek. Something tells me your arrogance and ego won’t allow for any introspection that could result in the changes you want.

What is love though?

Well. If one has never experienced Love, the explaining what is a 'feeling' is a non-starter. I remember that young man who had escaped North Korea, having reported his own family to the State Gestapo for 'stealing' (hoarding) food, and I think they were very harshly punished. Having escaped to the West and being challenged re his 'love' for his on family, he looked sincerely perplexed, and I knew right then that man had never experienced Love. It would be like trying to tell somebody what the color Red looks like, with them having only seen Yellow and Blue.

There are two distinct perceptive 'Paradigms' in our Universal 'Feeling' buffet. The Spiritual and the Worldly. They overlap, and the responses in this Thread bear out, one picks one value and serves the Acquistion to power toward said Value.

The Worldly Paradigm is temporal, and those who embrace should "eat, drink and be merry", and chase the women and money/power, as the aging process closes in.

Those who embrace and serve the Spirit, sooner or later will experience Love...Love being a 'lens' of perception which colors all things in the Worldly/Spiritual Pardigm. Love is Unity, both with God (Self Aware Energy/Creative Source) and all thereafter. Growth in acquired power becomes the game, as the Good Lord said that "you will do greater things than I have done". That is not just whistling Dixie. He was serious; though I do not know if all who follow the Path (to Love) will ultimately top Jesus sacrificial experience. I have no desire to do so. Just to live moment to moment witnessing a Reality that gets more wondrous and profound by the day. Even as my body atrophies and falls apart.

You're in game, 21. Like the Eastern's say..."once you are one the 'Road', you are there". And, "it's not where on the road you are, but which way you are going" (up or down).

I don’t understand why anyone worries about this stuff. Live your life. Be a good person. Enjoy. People who overthink this stuff tend to be miserable.

I'm not 100% sure I've gone through a spiritual reawakening these past few weeks and I'm trying to filter out negativity in my life and get rid of a habit I had of living in the past. I think my ultimate goals in life are to take care of my family, treat others the way I want to be treated, bring joy to people and love all beings.

To provide leadership, guidance, and see to the well-being and safety of my wife and children.

That and the study of military history and building of models.

Understood. But being a "good father" is not something that can come along to everyone. Meaning I can't be any type of father

Ok, but you asked “what is your life purpose”

This. If your life’s purpose is this, everything else will fall into place. You will be a better son, a better husband, a better father, a better coworker, a better friend.

He’s not looking for any response other than ones that validate his own feelings.

I want my good deeds to outweigh my bad. I want to live with God as a lantern to my feet, wherever He wills. I want to live as close to His Word as possible, praying He forgives my shortcomings. He will provide the rest.

I am ignorant to that. Why?

Because He created us to worship Him. And he died for us, and offers us an incredible life after this one

Mine was to raise a good son that contributed positively to society. I feel I’ve accomplished that so now it’s just to get drunk and judge people

For 99.99% of people, the only lasting legacy you leave are your children and their memories of you. Strive to bring them up better than you were, regardless of how perfect your childhood may have seemed. Be a great parent, and be kind to strangers. Spend money on experiences, not things.
