Not that I had a bad childhood by any means, but to raise my kids to have a better life than the one I had. Find a woman I truly love, and loves me. Make a lasting impact, no matter how significant, on a few people other than family members.

Have a happy marriage. have a happy family. enjoy my work to the point that i wont be looking forward to retirement because im enjoying everyday.
Not frick up raising my kids so that they can grow up to find the things that they enjoy and pursue them
at the end of day, I just want my family to be happy and to be happy myself
when im 60 i want to know that I can sit down at the end of the day with a bourbon in my hand and know that the previous 40 years were spent with friends and family and in abundant joy
There are objectives along the way that are more specific in helping reach the main goal, but thats the main goal.

Amass as much money (or money generating assets) to allow me to retire as soon as possible and not have to worry about money or having to work when I'm 70 much less 60 much less 50.

I am betting on real estate. I keep a house to expensive for me (view it as an investment/forced savings). Contribute too much to my 401k. Don't have car payments. All this to retire early, sell out, and spend my time between fishing for fresh water trout, and off shore fishing.

I want to raise two happy, well adjusted girls. Other than that....I am ambivalent.
