This is tough. Probably the f-14. But growing up I remember my favorite being the ardvark. I’m not sure why.

F-117 Nighthawk

It was my favorite computer flight game as a kid in the 90’s.

And I work as a nighthawk now. I have a framed photo over my desk.

Fun fact…

If a SR-71 is flying west over Denver and wants to go back east and makes a ‘left turn’ it will be over Phoenix before the turn is complete.

Is it bad that my kid knows that one flew off the USS Bunker Hill in WWII just by the markings? (The up arrow on the tail....)

He's working on his aviation merit badge in Scouts. One of the requirements is to build and fly a model airplane. So he's working on his first model right now. It's a tissue and balsa Spirit of St. Louis.

It's nowhere near the quality of yours. But he's only 11. Lol

That’s awesome. He may be taking his first steps to a lifelong hobby.

The Thunderbirds have never flown F-111s. When the F-111 was introduced The Thunderbirds were flying F4 Phantoms.

They ditched those in the early 70s for the T-38 Talon

Then in the early 80s they switched to the F-16 which they still fly today.

My first Thunderbird show was at Ryan Field. They flew F-100’s. First Blue Angels show, also at Ryan, they were flying A-4’s.
