What is you go-to shot? (Golf)

You are on the 15,16, or17th tee. It's a par 3 let's say 165 yards. You are up on your opponent or pressing on your personal best round. You are on the tee, nervous, maybe ripping cigs/guzzling beer. What do you do? Hit the full shot? Or maybe you club up or down and hit that go-to shot that stands up to the pressure.
At 165 I can hit an easy 7 or hammer an 8. Or. I pull the 5i and hit the cut. I'll hit that cut every time, bc I know it'll get there and give me a putt maybe a long one but its a putt.
What do you do?
Edit: let's assume optimal conditions.no hazards, Pin in the center, etc.

I just go ahead and hole it in that situation. Remove all doubt.

I hit the most lofted fullest shot I can for the situation in order to put me in position to score.
In your scenario, I'd need to see the green layout, pin placement, roll, etc.
But most likely a smooth full 8 for centermass.

I have two favorite shots. Full 8 iron from about 160 and a half swing with my sand wedge from 100.

This. I would use what I know best and what gives me the best chance.

Probably depends on the day. Sometimes I am swinging better when I'm stepping on shots, instead of easing off of them. And vise versa.
If I was playing my best, I'd probably be swinging a hard 8i with a baby draw.
Also depends if we got trouble long, or short.
ETA: If no trouble, then definitely a full 8i playing just to get it on the green. I'll take par on the par 3 and try and get a birdie on one of the remaining two or three shotters.

I have chucked this shot trying to hit it full too many times.

4 iron with a weak arse swing, I love my 4 iron.

3-wood slice about 40 yards into the woods. 60% of the time, it works every time.

5 yard fade. then 58* from 100yds in

Hit a full 7 iron all the way!

Hard 8 there. Under pressure, always take the higher lofted club and swing harder. Trying to punch a 7=duck hook most likely into a bunker or water
