Murder.
It demands that you spill blood to avenge your fallen.

I had a cousin commit suicide about 6 months ago and had a brother in law murdered. Murder is def harder to deal with. My cousin that killed himself was still able to say his goodbyes in his own way before doing it. My BIL's murder happened Uptown months after Katrina and it ended up being a cold case. My sister watched it happen and has to live with those images for the rest of her life.

I've dealt with both. Murder by far IMO and it's not even remotely close.
While I had issues with the suicide, there is some peace there that this was the choice of that person. We tried to get them help and it just didn't work.
With the murder, there is no peace and there is some asshat still breathing out there that took this person away from us.

Suicide. You can blame murder on things out of your control. Suicide leaves the whole family and friend base with doubts and regrets and the like

I think taking another person's life can also be viewed as highly selfish.
I've never lost a loved one due to murder, but I'd have to imagine that would be worse than suicide. At least with suicide, they were able to leave on their own terms (even if it is awful for everyone left behind).

Having lost both of my parents to suicide I'd say its worse, especially if its your child
