What is this snake?

I put this on the Outdoor board a couple minutes ago, but thought with the traffic maybe it's better to ask here.

Wife saw this climbing our fence and go into the neighbor's yard. Said it was almost as long as our fence is tall (8').

I can't figure out what it is. In this pic it's already headed down the other side.

Hard to tell but looks like a moccasin to me, need to see the head though.

Answered on the Outdoor board. You know it's behavior shows it is 100% harmless. Our pit viper friends and the coral snake don't spend a lot of time climbing stuff. Just relax.

Rat Snake was the consensus on the OB.

Where are you located at?

That's a big fricking snake. I didn't think we really got snakes like that around here, except some invasive types. But the coloring is wrong for a boa I'm pretty sure.

I had one like this in my backyard in Prairieville it was 6’ long and scared the crap out of me. Definitely wanted to burn my house down.
